Support Analyst
Location – Singapore
Salary – S$ 4200 – 4500

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
As a Support analyst this candidate will be expected to support Back Office Trade processing and Settlements systems with connectivity to regional and global systems.
• To provide first/second level support for all applications that the team is supporting. Provide on-site and dial-in support as required in solving application issues;
• Able to manage production incident life cycle, performing root-cause analysis and follow through till resolution co-coordinating with Development and Infrastructure teams; Should be an excellent communicator with proven ability to work across teams and with management.
• Develop expertise in key regional applications and provide on-the-ground assistance for all projects for the Operations & Product Control IT team.
• Become a part of development/support teams undertaking design, coding, testing and implementation for in-house systems.
• To be able to co-ordinate with infrastructure and other development/support teams on periodic power down activities, infrastructure upgrades and Disaster Recovery Testing.
• Co-ordinate implementation of audit and compliance requirements for the respective applications.


SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (e.g. shifts, travel overseas, hours):

24*5 On-site support/coming in shift/on-call weekend support/support from home or office.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential Desirable
Bachelors/Masters degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science Knowledge of financial markets
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Essential Desirable
Minimum 3 years IT Experience
Investment banking/financial industry experience developing/supporting trading/settlement systems

TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential

Operating Systems:
Windows NT/2000/XP

Programming:
Business Objects/Informatica/ETL
Java/J2EE/Weblogic

Database:
Sybase/and or Oracle
Oracle Database environment
Desirable

 Financial industry experience.

 Experience in the requirement analysis, design, programming, and implementation of enterprise, client/server or internet/Intranet systems participating in all stages of software lifecycle development.
 Development experience in .Net C# or Java/J2EE/WebLogic, Business Objects or VB, MS Access VB .Net, Visual Studio).

 Client focused & sensitive to client needs.

 Analytical and logical thinker.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize effectively; Ability to contribute effectively during design sessions.
