SharePoint Technical Administrator (ITSS-11-00002)
Responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day understanding and project for SharePoint/MOSS2007 applications hosted by ITSS, Internet and Intranet;
Analyzes, installs and supports patches, upgrades and performance enhancements;
Coordinates communications between divisional contacts, vendors and technical support teams;
Monitoring of performance and application availability;
Communicates to stakeholders via standard methods (e.g. verbally, email, ticket system);
Resolves incidents and problems, by working with the vendor(s) and customers to quickly resolve the problem-communication of same stakeholders;
Facilitates the promotion of application code, setups, databases and related components from the various levels of development through staging and production;
Follows standard operational methods utilizing the organization\'s standard tool set;
Develops technical procedures, scripts and associated documentation to improve existing processes and implement new ones;
Assists in disaster recovery preparation, planning and testing.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
At least three years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Experience in troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
Experience in a complex, large volume operation.
Customer service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of various tools: IIS 6/7, DNS/WINS (Name Resolution), TCP/IP and other network considerations, SQL Server 2005 Advanced Administration (back up, Monitoring, Log shipping or database mirroring), Basic Firewall rules and proxy, IT Infrastructure Design, Hardware Acquisition, Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning and growth management, Windows Workflow Foundation, HTML and client side scripting (Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML)
Experience in development, test and staging production - staged deployment.
