THE COMPANY: VIRTUAL GUIDE SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
THINK BIG… ALL THE TIME.
Two years ago, while trying to figure out how to find a little, out of the way hotel in the outskirts of the city, I stumbled upon a grand vision of making the Philippines (the country where I reside) a better place to live in through the power of technology.
So, I, along with a high school buddy and his cousin founded a start up Technology Company and lovingly named it Virtual Guide.
Today, with all the stuff we’ve come up with and all the other stuff we’re still putting together, along with all the stuff we haven’t even thought of yet, we hope to make our country, (the Philippines) a really cool place to be. (An even better way to think about it is hopefully we can make a lot of people happy by making their lives better.) Don’t get me wrong, we’re not some NGO, we’re definitely commercial, but, we do want things to get better here, and definitely make it way cooler like those futuristic sci-fi movies. And since it’s painfully obvious that our government has no plans of doing what they are supposed to be doing, (no matter who sits at the head of the table), then I guess it’s up to the private sector to pick up the slack.
WHO WE NEED:
To help us realize this dream of national development through technological superiority, we need help. Not just in the financial side (that’s for banks to worry about) but more importantly, in the staffing sector.
We need the few, the proud, the visionary programmers!
We are looking for bright, open minds, risk takers, innovators, and sci-fi junkies who can program the world to a much better place one application system at a time.
We are looking for the best young computer minds from around the globe, and if you have the interest, the passion, the audacity, and the urge to see a different country and play SIM city with it in real life, then we would love to have you on board.
While I myself am an US born Chinese-Filipino, Locals and foreigners are all welcome. In our world, neither race, nor creed, nor color matter, only skills and outlook. We want dreamers. NO pessimists allowed.
We are a young company, (NOBODY here is above thirty, and that includes the board of directors, the president, the managers, the techies, and even the maintenance crew), we are highly motivated, and we are out to show the world that YES, we can. (Thank you and congratulations President Obama)
